Pickled beans anyone?

Alan and I love this time of year, fresh corn on the cob, tomatoes, zucchini, squash, and more makes for easy and delicious dinners. My parents have a wonderful garden and it's nice to be close enough to reap the benefits! Along with all the fresh vegetables, we have also been doing a fair bit of canning. Well, Mom has done most of the canning, but the rest of us are helping...or maybe that's harassing, I'm not sure which. :) To this point we've put up some pickled beans, frozen corn, canned green beans, applesauce, peaches, and pears. Go us (I mean Mom)!

your beans are beautiful...an A+ for color, and A+ for presentation... : ) isn't it nice to have moms that know how to do this stuff and don't mind the many interruptions little ones bring? we did applesauce yesterday and tara and i are trying our hand at blackberry jam today... hope you had a great time at retreat. i saw alan and maya this morning at church...maya even had a bow in her hair. way to go dad! : )

Man, I wish you would share! I need to learn how to can. Or to grow a garden. Hum. And sew. Great, now I'm depressed. :-)
